Spanish Language Program
Students at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Catholic School participate in an introductory Spanish program. Small groups from each class meet once a week with a volunteer facilitator in the computer lab where they primarily engage in age appropriate, on-line computer programs, augmented by classroom group activities such as games, songs, and stories.
Students in Kindergarten – Grade 2 are introduced to the Spanish alphabet, numbers (1-30), greetings, colors, shapes, and basic vocabulary through simple songs, games, stories and on-line activities.
Students in Grades 3-8 are introduced to the same basic skills as the primary students, but also utilize grade specific and self-paced listening, speaking, writing, reading and basic grammar skills.
